Dulce’s first night in Seattle: Dulce decided that her new brother’s tent was the perfect place to relax. No problem, since Henry napped on Dulce’s special Arizona blanket and cushion. Now you can find them cuddled up together on the couch.
Hannah's new hobbies include being spoiled by her mom and dad.
Willie had a long stay at CCR prior to finding his forever home. Known as The Quacker for his loud and unique bark, this character now lives in California with a number of animal siblings (and has even been in a dog food commercial)!
Dollie (left) now lives in Canada! She even has an adorable brother Jake.
Some old time Chiquita Chihuahua fans will remember (and many have met) Milton Berle. Since being adopted, he splits his time between Northern California and Arizona.
Diego - a great little senior who waited a long time for his forever home. He now who hangs at the horse stables with his mom everyday- who says he acts way younger than his age!
Milagros was rescued from the county shelter. Millie was the victim of an animal attack and was admitted to the shelter with severely damaged eyes. Her condition warranted surgery to remove both of her eyes. She was a trooper and after her recovery, she blew all expectations out of the water. She now lives in Maricopa with cat and canine siblings.
Ten year old FiFi had been praying a looooong time for her forever home. She came to CCR in August, 2015 as a “private” rescue from a poor situation. She was overweight, had bad teeth, and a very large hernia due to overbreeding. Her new Momma is Terre, who had a cherished little chihuahua named Ruthie for over 17 years.
One happy fella! Pablo now lives in Illinois and is a service dog for his momma. Livin' the good life!
Sammie's parents, Enoc and Karla are retired, which means Sammie (right) will be showered with love throughout every day. She has an adorable brother named Noah, who is 12 (Chinese Crested/ Yorkie mix) and will be a wonderful companion for Sammie. If Sammie ends up being interested, she could go on a walk around the lake.
Chewbacca aka Chewie now lives in Southern California with his moms. You can see what he's up to on Instagram by visiting @ChewieTheChi.
Reeses has been adopted and welcomed into the Rodriguez family. This was his foster home, where he was welcomed after his intial 2 week stay at the Rancho. Here he was able to heal from his amputation, learn about the love of 2 children, and enjoy 2 doggie siblings. I hear he is especially bonded with 12 year old Lily, and often sleeps cuddled up with his canine siblings.
Rudy (left) was saved from the county shelter and received some much needed TLC upon arriving at Chiquita Chihuahua Rescue. He now has his forever family, along with his new sister Elle! They are both madly in love and Elle has become much more social since her new brother joined the family. The best part is they live about a mile from the Rancho!
Gypsy Rose first came to the rescue as Vita. She soon found her home nextdoor to the rancho and gained a new name, along with a new family!
It was a team effort to rescuse her from the Maricopa County shelter euthenasia list, but it was well worth it. We are grateful to have saved her and beyond happy that this sweet girl has found her forever home.
